Sometimes even the most ardent of urban travellers need to get away from the hustle and bustle of town life - which is where Artesya comes into its own. It is in the Grunwald district of Poznań, a little outside the city centre, and very close to the pools and open spaces that the city has to offer. It means that, while public transport offers great links into the heart of the action, there's still a chance to kick back and relax. Artesya's 99 beds are split between rooms for two, three, four, five, six or ten people, so groups of many sizes can be accommodated. There is 24-hour access, a well-stocked cafe bar, lounge with TV and DVD, and free internet access. Bed linen is provided free, and there is luggage storage and a whole range of tourist information on hand from the reception desk. Go in the summer or autumn, and enjoy one of Artesya's regular bonfire evenings - a great way to get to know your fellow guests and enjoy the fresh air. Well-behaved pets are welcome.
