Poznań in fact boasts two zoological gardens - the old and the new.
The old is more of a museum piece, so if it's the really big beasts that you're after, pick the new one. Here, you can marvel at a huge collection of species from all over the world, some of which (though obviously, not the dangerous ones) are free to roam around the grounds.
Entrance to the new zoo costs 15zł, but be aware that the price rises to 20zł on those public holidays that the zoo is open. There are discounts for students, and good value family tickets too. |
