Kaczmarek Launches Transatlantyk Festival
Academy Award-winning film composer Jan A.P. Kaczmarek has announced that he will launch a new festival in Poznan. While Kaczmarek now lives in the US, the composer spent much of his youth in the city of Poznan.
The Transatlantyk festival will bring together film screenings across the city with a competition for composers of music for films. The winner will receive a 20 000 US dollar grant and a placement Rozbitek studio outside of Poznan.
This years Transatlantyk festival has been scheduled to take place between 5 and 13 August 2011.
