A Holy Heist

A priest held up a bank last week in the town of Szamotuly, 30 kilometres northwest of Poznan. The unlikely assailant procured about 1000 euros from a cashier. His weapon of choice was a knife, but no one was injured during the robbery.

The thief did not manage to elude the law for long, and he was picked up by the police shortly after the heist. It turned out that the robber had previously been serving a tenure as a priest in Bialogard, northern Poland, and he was awaiting his next assignment.

The accused is likely to serve several years in prison for the misdemeanour.
