Poznan Triumphs In Football League
Lech Poznan, the city's top soccer team, trounced Ruch Chorzow yesterday and walked away with the Remes Polish Cup.
It was the crowning moment of what's been a great season for the Poznan lads. As it happened, Slawomir Peszko is the hero of the day, banging a ball into the net just inside the second half.
But there are still more thrills and spills for Poznan. The Remes Cup may already be in the bag, but the Ekstraklasa League, which gives access to the International Champions League, is still undecided.
