England 2 - 1 Poland
Although both England and Poland have qualified for the finals of the World Cup 2006 their last game in the group stages was an exciting affair. The game at Old Trafford saw Englands most convincing performance in a while and a solid performance from Poland. Michael Owen put England infront just before the half-time whistle but Poland responded immediately with a nicely worked move resulting in a Frankowski volley. It was Frank Lampard who scored the winner for England in the 80th minute.
