Chlopskie Jadlo

Whether in Warsaw, Krakow or other Polish cities, Chlopskie Jadlo has long been a symbol of quality food in a rustic and fun atmosphere. Now, a branch of the popular restaurant has finally come to Poznan, and with it such Polish favourites as pierogi (dumplings), barszcz (borch soup), and nalesniki (crepes), as well as a variety of meat and seafood dishes. For those eager to try something really Polish (and a bit odd, we must admit), every meal at Chlopskie Jadlo begins with an appetizer of bread and szmalec, which is a spread made of bacon fat. Yummier than it sounds!

Scrumptious. Polish beer does the job too. Great spot!

This is one of the best Polish restaurants I tried while in Poland. The food was excellent, very tasty. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also very charming, resembling a Polish farm. Good service for a real delightful Polish experience.

Great fun this. The lard especially bamboozled us. Think it may have moved to a different address than the one you listed though?

Fair play to these guys, this is a chain but the interiors are really like some old house in the Polish country, minus weird smells of dampness and the likes. Most importantly the food is good and tasty.
