On the north west corner of Stary Rynek is Lizard King, one of the Old Town's premiere music venues. The musical menu here consists of the rock'n'roll favourites and the memorabilia which is hung and stuck to the walls will make you feel like you're at the after show party. Lizard King hosts regular live entertainment at the weekend which can be heard across the Rynek and the jukebox selections reflect its image. There's no need to pop out for a kebab at the strike of midnight either as the in-house kitchen serve up a range of foods right from toasted sandwiches to the more hearty karkowka. Look out for the lunch time specials as well which start at 10 PLN. Lizard King is a popular destination for all generations and nationalities at all times of day. You're guaranteed a splendid time!

Top bar, top staff, top owner....a good place to listen to music, get drunk till the early hours and chat up beautiful women who could be your daughters......

My partner and i visited Krakow earlier this year and happened to find this venue down a side street. We were blown away by the decor and atmosphere, thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend anyone to go there.

A bit too commercial and American, but I guess that can't be avoided. However, the stage is nice and the food is decent.

Pretty good but can't get the thought out of my head that it is the Polish Hard Rockski Kafejski!

I have visited Poznan last autumn and I was with my husband who is an American and plays live music. We went to Lizard King to spend an evening with the live music like we always do here in US. The music was great and Polish musicians are so talented and they play blues, rock &roll, raegge no worse than American musicians themselves. I would recommend this club to anyone who is interested in this kind of music. We will certainly visit that place in a future.

A perfect venue for a mid-afternoon session in agreeably decadent blood-red surroundings. Table service from avuncular staff, a picturesque view of the main square if you grab a window seat and a discerning music policy where you're never more than three minutes away from a toe-tapping tune.
A wonderful place to unwind, free of the bloated pretensions of it's namesake.

Lizard King is a brilliant bar with great music and snacks - and the location can't be beat. A must-see (and drink) for any visitor to Poznan!

I don't know what the original "Lizard King" might say, but I dug the place. Something salty to eat and something cool to drink - not much more you could as for.
