Whipping Post

I remember reading that the last person in Europe to be publicly burned as a witch was a Poznanian. I wonder if she was met her end on this spot...?

Poznan Army Museum

A really excellent museum. Especially the tanks, the artillery and the small arms collection. If you plan to visit Poznan, you HAVE to see the army museum.

Museum of Musical Instruments

Citadel

A nice area, but also a place for sorrow. 18.000 young men died here during WW2, and none much over 21 years old. I take my hat of in rememberance, every life lost is a dream lost. A very good museum, but with a lack of english/international description. The outdoor exhibition is left with no comments.

Museum of Musical Instruments

One of the coolest museums i've seen - but i'm probably biased because i'm a musician myself. but maybe if you take your kids there it will inspire them to learn an instrument!

Arsenal City Art Gallery

Museum of Musical Instruments

Probably one of the most inspirational museums I've ever been to. It's really amazing that some of these instruments are really works of art in themselves - most of them in fact. But it's also interesting to see how instruments have developed through the ages, and how similar instruments can be made in completely different ways by different cultures. The only bad thing about the museum that really should be changed is that you cannot listen to any of the instruemtns. I understand some are old and would fall apart if played, but most of them could be recorded so visitors could listen to what they sound like on headphones as they went through - that would make it so much better. Either way, if you're a musician, it's worth coming to Poznan just to see this museum!

Museum of Applied Arts

Very cool museum - wish they had more modern stuff though. It seemed part of the exhibition was closed, maybe just temporarily. It's worth the climb up the hill as well because you get a good view of the city.

Citadel

This is one huge park with cemetries of soldiers. I lost my way in Citadela and finally managed to get out after wandering for an hour or two.

Poznan Army Monument

'Poznan Army Monument' is worth seeing. One can spend a couple of hours going through the antiqued arsenal. There are some planes and tankers(probably used in WW-II) outside the museum. Kid's and young people would like it.

Poznan Army Museum

Some interesting pieces here. I particularly liked the tanks.
