Theatre of Dance

|
Since 1973 the Polish Theatre of Dance has been building a reputation for innovation on and off the stage. It's performances have won not just critical acclaim, but awards in several festivals, and since 1994 has been the home of the the Contemporary Dance Workshops and the Contemporary Dance Biennale.
It continues to attract exciting choreographers from all over the world, who are keen to work with the theatre and without the boundaries and limitations of simple tradition.
Part of the theatre's success could be down to the fact that it's directors have been people of vision with a real love of dance. This is, after all, the place that was guided for a time by Ewa Wycichowska, one of Poland's foremost ballet dancers. |
