Teatr Polski

|
Teatr Polski has become an institution in Poznań through the rocky and changeable times since it opened in the late 19th century. Like much among Polish culture, it hung on grimly when the very notion of Poland seemed to be faltering... and, like the nation itself, remains standing.
The centrepiece of the theatre is the Grand Stage, evoking everything that classical theatre should be, but boasting thoroughly modern production facilities.
The theatre also has a smaller stage - the Malarnia - which opened in the 1980s and seats 100 people. The newest addition is the Galeria, which opened in 2011 and is intended to be a showcase auditorium for modern theatre. |
